Eligibility & Prerequisites

  • This course is designed for licensed healthcare professionals including Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), Physicians (MD/DO), and Dentists (DDS/DMD). All attendees must hold an active professional license in their respective field.

  • Participants must hold an active professional license (SLP, RDH, OT, PT, MD/DO, or DDS/DMD). No prior orofacial myology training is required. The course is designed to take you from foundational knowledge through clinical competency over four intensive days.

  • The course is designed for licensed professionals. Graduate students in their final clinical year may apply with a letter from their program director. Contact us to discuss eligibility.

Schedule & Structure

  • The course runs Friday through Monday, October 23–26, 2026 at the Courtyard by Marriott Tarrytown, 475 White Plains Rd, Tarrytown, NY. Each day combines didactic instruction with hands-on clinical labs. Day 1 covers foundational anatomy and assessment; Days 2–3 focus on treatment protocols and case studies; Day 4 includes advanced techniques and clinical competency review.

  • Cohorts are intentionally kept small — limited to 20 participants — to ensure meaningful instructor access and hands-on lab time. This is a clinical training course, not a lecture series.

  • Registration includes the full course manual, clinical reference materials, access to post-course digital resources, and all lab supplies. Meals and hotel accommodations are not included but a hotel room block is available at a discounted rate.

  • No. Perspectives in Orofacial Myology is an in-person, hands-on clinical training. The hands-on lab components are central to the curriculum and cannot be replicated in a virtual format. The October 2026 course takes place in Westchester County, NY.

Cancellation, Refund and Complaints Policy

  • Cancellations received 60 or more days before the course start date are eligible for a full refund minus a $200 administrative fee. Cancellations between 30–59 days prior receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 30 days of the course are non-refundable. Substitutions are permitted at any time.

  • Yes. Registration transfers to another qualified professional are permitted up to 15 days prior to the course start date for a transfer fee of $50. Transfers are not permitted within 15 days of the course start date.

  • In the unlikely event we must cancel the course, all registered participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee. We are not responsible for non-refundable travel or hotel costs, so we recommend purchasing travel insurance.

  • The October 2026 course is held at the Courtyard by Marriott Tarrytown, 475 White Plains Rd, Tarrytown, New York 10591, approximately 30 minutes north of New York City.

  • Yes. A discounted room block is available at the Courtyard by Marriott Tarrytown, the same property as the course venue. Details and the booking link will be included in your registration confirmation.

  • Westchester County is accessible from three major airports: Westchester County Airport (HPN, 15 minutes), JFK International (45–60 minutes), and LaGuardia (30–45 minutes). Detailed travel instructions will be provided with venue information.
